I can't even imagine how hard it is to see the state of poverty they live in. Thank you for taking time to read the post and to follow the blog. :)Danahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11821417452058587303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5221689632288990357.post-85557644211130563122011-08-25T18:02:03.146-04:002011-08-25T18:02:03.146-04:00How have I been impacted by Haiti? One of our children is of Haitian descent but lives in the Dominican Republic (I actually got to visit him in May of 2010). To see my sponsored child in extreme poverty...and then realize Haiti is in even worse economic state...brought me to tears. When I got back, I planned on reading the book, Unshaken, about a Compassion staff memeber who was trapped in the Hotel Montana in Haiti for 3 days. A WONDERFUL story of not only survival, but how God used the earthquake to stabilize so many other things in his life. I highly encourage anyone to read it :)

Just a little more...I experienced my first earthquake a couple days ago...we live outside Richmond, Va where a 5.8 earthquake hit. I can ONLY imagine the emotions that went through Haiti.Brittanyhttp://clarke-family.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5221689632288990357.post-88515656093012140552011-08-25T17:56:42.426-04:002011-08-25T17:56:42.426-04:00Hello there! Thanks for posting this, Maria
I'm having a link party on my blog today and I'd love for you to add this if you have the time.
