Take a minute...

Do you know any children with special needs? Maybe you do and do not even realize what they have overcome with the help of therapists, doctors, nurses, specialists, Dads, Moms and most of all, the Great Physician. We are surrounded, in this fallen world, with hurts and pains that are extremely difficult to endure. The hardest thing for me as a parent is when my children are hurting (or I see other children who suffer). We know that in heaven, they will have perfect bodies and there will be no more tears or pain. For now, we can make a difference in the lives of children who have special needs. Here is one way.

Please take a few minutes to watch this video (and the others as well if you have the time) and vote for Emma - a special girl who has overcome many challenges in her life through the help of First Steps and the United Way. Our own little girl was involved with First Steps to help with her swallowing abnormalities (aspirates) and so I personally know what a blessing it is to have the therapists come to your home and give your child the hands on therapy they need.

If you feel so inclined, you could also donate money to the United Way, but at a minimum, please vote. That is free!

  1. I just want to thank you so very much for posting this for my daughter Emma. Not only does she now think that she's famous...she was so excited to see this on your blog! The way that my family was blessed through our experience with the United Way was a true example of God's Grace and Love.

  2. I am honored to be able to post her story. What a blessing to see so much of God's grace already in the few years of her life. Imagine what God will do with the many more to come. And I guess she IS famous. :)

I love to hear from my readers so if you are thinking something that is beneficial and profitable (which doesn't mean you have to agree with me, but at least be nice), then I'd love to hear from you!
