Good News {Day 29} Lifestyle Evangelism

One way that people say they are sharing the Good News is by their lifestyle. They say that people will see that they are different than others in this world and then inquire about what is the reason for the difference.

This should be true for all of us.

Is your lifestyle different than others in your neighborhood? Is it obvious that you are a follower of Christ?

When I think about this, these verses come to mind about how I might be very obviously different than others around me.

Pray without ceasing
1 Thessalonians 5:17

But I say to you, love your enemies,
bless those who curse you,
do good to those who hate you,
and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
Matthew 5:44

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober,
and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you
at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children,
not conforming yourselves to the former lusts,
as in your ignorance;
but as He who called you is holy,
you also be holy in all your conduct,
because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
 1 Peter 1:13-16

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that you present your bodies
a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God,
which is your reasonable service.
And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good
and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:1-2

Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Romans 12:9

Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
giving thanks always for all things to God the Father
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
submitting to one another in the fear of God.
Ephesians 5:19-21

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
Ephesians 5:22

If our lives were a picture of just these few choice scriptures each and every day - we would all look totally different than the world and people would wonder why.

So does anyone ask you why your life is different? Does your live LOOK differently than others around you (unsaved)?

Things that make you go hmmmmm....

I love to hear from my readers so if you are thinking something that is beneficial and profitable (which does not mean you have to agree with me, but at least be nice), then I would love to hear from you!
